Remembering Mr. Joe Weider

Category : John Davies

As the health, fitness and bodybuilding sector mourns the passing of Mr. Joe Weider this past Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, his life will be remembered for his visionary stance in fitness and health and further punctuated by the remarkable path he carved for future generations across the globe.

The legacy of Joe Weider will not be told on financial statements or with his name stamped on products long after our days but of the tens of millions who actively participate in exercise, including resistance training, because of his dedication. Mr. Weider pulled, through a lifetime of service, the “iron game” from “health nut” seclusion to everyday walks of life, building a path that each of us, whether we fully understand the broad implications of his work, is one we follow to this day.

This is Mr. Joe Weider’s legacy for he led a life of passion, championed the cause of bodybuilding and provided a pathway to healthier life for future generations.

Nothing is left to chance and simply those that do are overwhelmingly looking up at the victor’s podium.
