The exercise industry, including those within the strength and conditioning area of sports preparation, has went through a litany of fads throughout the length of my career. When I started out virtually every aspect I later introduced, from theories of postural maintenance, chaotic and imperfect conditions, approaches for development work threshold, general preparedness, speed and mobility training were virtually unheard of as much of the exercise sector was more concerned with using certain machines and expediting workouts.
Flash forward to 2012 and these approaches, including specific exercise have woven through virtually every corner of the world sporting market. For those who have applied the measures correctly, whether they are a competitive athlete or an everyday exercise enthusiast it has provided them the route to a lean, hard and fit physique.
