earthquake relief efforts for Japan

Category : John Davies

As you are likely aware, the 8.9 earthquake in Japan and related tsunami has hit with deadly force. The loss of life, casualties and damages are enormous and will require a global relief effort to assist the people of Japan and other impacted regions. .

Undoubtedly there will be a number of organizations to provide relief, to which I urge you to consider your local Red Cross relief efforts. (http://www.redcross.org) and will add further references when they become available.

Renegade Training™ will be initiating a series of fund raising efforts in which fifty to one-hundred percent of all proceeds from sales will be donated to Red Cross. We will have a page set up shortly to manage this issue.

As many of you are likely aware, Renegade Style is far more than an apparel company and used to help improve the lives of those less fortunate. Grant Hansen and I use the company to provide apparel for the homeless, gifting fresh clothing directly to them on the streets as well as supply goods to women and children in shelters. In the past, we have given untold thousands of items to victims of natural disasters such as Hurricane Katrina, Tsunami relief, the recent earthquake in Haiti, Australia and it is time to do the same for our friends in Japan.

Providing apparel is a quick and efficient manner for us to deliver clean clothing for those that need it the most. It has a virtually instantaneous impact as the items are delivered to the region and usually worn within minutes of receipt. The process is simple and straightforward and on many occasions, I have personally given the items out. The process is simple and straightforward and on many occasions, I have personally given the items out in “shooting galleries”, skidrows, under freeways, bus stations and other places where the homeless seek shelter and every time it is welcomed.

If you visit www.renegadestyle.com and purchase any item, adding “for Japan” on the Paypal notes section, we will ship that item plus two identical items to local efforts. (I will be amending this note for a special page but in the meantime this should suffice). The company absorbs additional shipping costs.

If you are able to help by either direct purchase or forwarding this message to friends, it is sincerely appreciated. This is our world and together we will make a difference.

As always, I remain

In faith,

J. Davies

you can also donate to Giving Children Hope (www.gchope.org), a disaster relief non-profit in Southern California. They will be sending medical supplies to Japan ASAP

Thank you for your attention.
